Ice Station Zero is open
After months of planning, Ice station zero is up and running. We are happy to see that people are having fun trying to "escape" from the station while they uncover the fates of the crew.
If you haven't done the room yet then what are you waiting for! Don't worry we wont give away any spoilers besides this little sneak peek of the stations "super computer". It's not a Mac Book! This bad boy is what passed for high tech in the 50's and 60's.
Many of you have asked how its made. Well we can't give away all our secrets, but i can give you some fun facts. The Gibson YT1400 ( If you grew up on 80's and 90's movies you might get that reference) consists of 21 panels, with over 150 lights, 31 gauges, 60 switches, 25 dials, 40 buttons, and (spoiler alert) a working 8 track player.
This massive construction took over three months and countless energy drinks to construct. I did the layout and design for all the panels. Dan and Josh did most of the carpentry and mounted all the switches ,while cursing me for putting so many lights. Cooper did some kind of magic that I don't understand and made all this pretty stuff actually work.
